Gedeb is located in the Gedeo zone of South Ethiopia, near the famous Yirgacheffe
region. The Chelchele village is home to the Tadesse Desta coffee processing plant,
established in 2019. This facility, spanning 2.2 hectares and 442 kilometers from
Addis Ababa, is renowned for its organic coffee. The region’s coffee is produced by
numerous smallholder farmers using agroforestry methods, ensuring a steady supply
of ripe cherries.
Tadesse Desta is committed to collaborating with smallholder farmers to produce
high-quality coffee based on mutual benefit. We strictly follow natural and washed
processing methods to maintain product traceability. Our coffee is grown in a healthy
environment, supports farmers economically, and promotes fairness. Certified by
recognized organizations, our coffee meets all industry standards.
Our ultimate goal is to supply competitive, high-quality coffee for export.
Taste of Harvest (T.O.H) is a platform dedicated to promoting the best African

focuses on showcasing and improving the quality of African coffee while increasing
its recognition in global markets. Each year, T.O.H hosts a coffee competition where
producers from across Africa submit their best coffees. Expert judges select the
highest quality coffees, helping farmers and producers gain better access to
international markets. This platform highlights the diversity of African coffee and
supports the ongoing growth and innovation in the coffee industry.
